What began with Narcissus has expanded into a wide portfolio, including several Tazetta varieties, Ornithogalum dubium, Ranunculus, Scilla, Leucojum, Allium, and more. Asa Flower Bulbs was the first to cultivate Ornithogalum dubium commercially, and remains the world’s primary supplier, exporting to Europe, the U.S., Asia, and South America.

With over 50 years of expertise, the nursery continues to develop new varieties through careful breeding and selection — combining tradition, innovation, and global reach.

    Our History
Asa Flower Bulbs is a family-run nursery based in Bitzaron, Israel, specializing in the cultivation and breeding of high-quality flower bulbs since 1971. Founded by Asa Uzilevsky, a pioneer in the field, the nursery has become one of Israel’s leading growers and exporters.

    ENDLESS
    FIELDS

Our connection to Ornithogalum dubium runs deep. Years ago, we began experimenting with this unique South African species, learning how to adapt it to commercial cultivation. Since then, it has become one of our signature varieties — known for its bold color, graceful structure, and dependable performance. We take pride in being among the first to help bring dubium into homes and gardens around the world, and continue to refine it season after season.

    Our Packing Factory

Our on-site packing house is built to handle high volumes with efficiency, care, and consistency. Equipped for cleaning, sorting, grading, and preparing bulbs for export, it ensures that each order meets our strict quality standards. With temperature-controlled storage, careful handling protocols, and real-time coordination with our growing and logistics teams, we maintain bulb integrity from harvest to delivery — giving our partners confidence in every shipment.

    R&D

At Asa Flower Bulbs, research and development are central to our long-term vision. Our dedicated R&D program — supported by an in-house lab — focuses on selective breeding, disease resistance, storage behavior, and adaptation to changing climate conditions.

Through close monitoring, trial plots, and lab-based diagnostics, we identify and refine varieties with improved performance, shelf life, and visual appeal. This integrated approach ensures that every bulb we grow reflects years of knowledge, experimentation, and innovation.

    Laboratories

Our in-house laboratory plays a key role in ensuring the quality, health, and continuous improvement of our bulbs. From germination tests and disease screening to post-harvest evaluations and breeding support, the lab allows us to monitor every stage of bulb development with scientific accuracy. Working in close coordination with our R&D and production teams, the lab helps us make data-driven decisions that enhance performance, consistency, and export readiness.
